Welcome to my first “Quick Note”.
I was just thinking that Nintendo should really pay for a 3rd party developer to create an exclusive game for their system. Maybe they will wait for a more horsepower grunt from the next console/handheld. But they should pay for an exclusive trying to not “nintendo-ise” the game too much and let the developer create it at such a depth and detail that competing console owners will wish it was on their system.

Hey, i have your blog on my reader for quite some time, but you dont write that much. Hope you keep this quick notes coming.
But about this one, to tell you the truth, i guess this is already happening, Nintendo is already paying 3rd parties for games, right now, with The Last Story and Xenoblade.
And Zangeki no REGINLEIV.
Of course, this means Nintendo is taking this approach only with japanese developers. I guess nintendo is more worried about lack of games for the japanese public than the american/EU one.

Aww dude, why didn’t you introduce yourself sooner, I’ve wondered for a LONGGG time who was subscribing to myself.
But yeah I’ll be keeping up the quick notes, I do have a couple more in my mind, but I dont want to flood the blog.
Sometimes I find it hard to think of some editorials, or start writing and they never pan out right so I delete them. But the quick notes will help me just say things I want.
I do hope to do a lot more “industrial” talk when i have time. My speciality will be accounting, so I would be talking a lot more about financials and reading between the lines of said financials.

Ohh yeah about your comment. Well I dont overly think their paying for these exclusives, well maybe they are as their publishing them, but who knows. But I would love if they paid Rockstar, Platinum Games, Bioware etc for exclusives!
The Last Story may well be the first JRPG I ever buy, and Xenoblade definitely has me interested. Ive never had a console RPG EVER!!!
Zangeki no REGINLEIV, will not see the light of day outside of Japan unfortunately.
But yes, this article was more aimed towards the western developer as there are a lot of Japanese games that will not be released outside Japan.
