So just for laughs I thought I would shoot off a “small” email to High Voltage Software about their upcoming game, ‘The Grinder’. It was generally about my thoughts on the IGN E3 walkthrough on Youtube. Well I’ll let you guys read what I sent to HVS;
Hey,
I’ve been thinking about the grinder and how awesome the whole game appears.
I have a couple of thoughts that I’d like to share these thoughts with you guys if your willing to listen, which I know you are 😀
Well first off, The Slasher, great character, i dont think its been done before in all honesty. A thought though, as the influence is Jason, maybe after so long of a pursuit without out-running him mid attack he could disappear (of course when not on screen) This would give the impression of throughout the game it is the single same Slasher that pursuits you. In the IGN live demo i could help to see the slasher still trying to attack you from the high office within the warehouse while the battle with the first werewolf was happening, it kinda gave the opinion that he isnt so formidable if he cant climb and jump down to the floor like the player did. And the influence of Jason leaves me hoping of a Freddy Krueger style/armed foe that possibly crawls about like the lickers from Resident Evil/Voldo from Soul Calibur.

Well I touched upon this in a previous blog that compared the 3 motion strategies by the 3 console manufacturers Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft. Nintendo had an Iwata Asks section available to view during E3 but it quickly disappeared from the internet but thanks to Nintendo Europe it has resurfaced and can now be read. I have a short extract from the interview that to me is the most important factor within this interview!
Iwata: I suppose the obvious question is: if it offers such huge advantages, why didn’t you use it in the Wii Remote from the very start?
Takamoto: We actually looked into the idea of including a gyro sensor at the very start of the Wii Remote’s development. But the idea was rejected due to issues of both space and cost which attaching a gyro sensor would entail.
Well E3 certainly showed that Nintendo’s direction of developing a new way to play was the way to go. Playstation demonstrated their motion/pointer controller that implements the Playstation Eye, along with Microsoft demonstrating their development of Project Natal. Within this blog update I want to look at all 3 of these motion schemes and determine who has won so far in the development and implementation of these.
I intend to look at 3 aspects to determine the overall winner, this is technology, usability and how far along they are in development.
Technology
Well first off I will say that each of the console manufacturers have whole heartedly invested in technology that can achieve a vision and do it well.

Well a while back I was searching through The Conduits promotional website (http://seeing-is-deceiving.com) for new videos, pictures and information. Through doing this I also had to decipher the new Drudge symbols that are associated directly to the english alphabet. Well from a little help with the already decoded messages on http://www.gonintendo.com I was able to further develop my list to have every drudge symbol next to the alphabet.
